Default 229 Dollars DOWN THE DRAIN!

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ia%20gtx%20260

I bought this 3 weeks ago. it worked fine, every game i threw on max, including crysis warhead... i loved it, it completed my amazing new build. -_- so i thought

It started to squel, i just sent in my rebate with my UPC code. I get an RMA, i send my card in

one week later:
We recently received your RMA and your return was then sent to our Inspections Department for closer examination. We regret to inform you that the item could not be recognized by our system because the product received is missing the upc code. Without the upc code, we cannot determine if the item was sold to you by Newegg.com; serial numbers/upc codes that have been removed automatically void Newegg's warranty according to the RMA terms listed on our website. The merchandise is consequently being shipped back to you and should arrive in approximately 5 - 10 business days.

I don't know anything about MSI warrenties. It would be great if you guys can help me. WHAT DO I DO!!!!!!!!!

thank you in advance

thats why i never use rebates with newegg. its automatically voids the warrenty if you sent a rebate in. its to prevent people buying something, then sending in the rebate, then returning the product, and get the money from the rebate. i dont risk it. so i dont do the rebates. you got to read the fine print like i did.

I should think anything is worth a try...

You might be lucky and they'll take it in.

What is wrong with it, if it is just that the fan is screeching, then maybe an after market cooler would solve the problem.

So, does this mean that buying a product from Newegg, and then taking the rebate, means the warranty is voided?

"You will have to RMA it with MSI"

Will they accept it without a UPC?

Yeah, I'd bundle a picture of the box and your NewEgg receipt, and a copy of the rebate form if you have it.

Unfortunately this problem is far too common when doing rebates.
