Default Acer Model 5100. Re-Insulation Query

Hi everyone, can anyone help. Tried to Re-install Windows for the above model an it would just not pick up cd i.e ......"press any key to boot from cd".I have checked the Bios as advised by Acer to make sure first bootdevice is on CD which it is.

I have been told to reinstall windws on this type of model there are certain keys that need to be pressed before hand, or something like that.!!! i'm confused.

anyone tell me otherwise. Thank you

Update :

I think the Recovery option on this model is called eRocovery and is accessed at boot up by pressing ALT + F10

Well if your boot sequence is correct in bios and it's not picking up the disk at boot up, there must be an issue with the disk or the CD Drive.

Did you try the ALT + F10 method ?
