I learned the hard way that you can play that game for a lot less with a smaller system. I have a Q9450, a 790i ultra and 2 9800GX2's to go along with my 8GB's or RAM (DDR3) and I have never come close to using it all. but if you are set on buying that rig then by all means buy it. You should be able to get through Crysis.........

crysis is over rated anyway.
i found wolf 3d more interesting. it'll run crysis fine. if all settings are at theyre lowest you can run crysis on a 7900GT |

As mentioned here I would refrain from buying any alienware computers. You can build your own or buy one from a different source with higher specs for cheaper.

As he said, alienware is generally fairly overpriced. If you have the cash and for some reason don't mind spending the extra go ahead and get it.

good if you want end user support? - yes good for your pocket? NO! good value for money? NO NO NO! as many have said, save your money, build your own, and can get a even higher spec machine, probably still for less! |
