| If you're doing a lot of encoding then as ive mentioned on another thread, Vista is the way to go. Despite lacking most performance features of XP, games run very well, the encoding is slightly faster than XP and you can fiddle with the gadgets for days on end. As far as DVD drives go, sony is a good place to start. According to my packet of Tesco's DVD R/W's there are + and - formats for them and a lot of drives dont do both, sony does and ive never had a problem with them. For the same price as evey other drive you migh aswell get more bang for your buck |
