Default Bios Checksum Error?

Hello,

Ever since i have built my computer, it has restarted itself. It comes up with a blue screen error. This happens every 10-30mins after startup. Even when i was installing windows xp, i had it crashing. The thing is, if i have a game open in full screen (such as cod4, wc3, etc.) then it WILL NOT restart until the game has closed (But it doesnt restart as soon as i close it, like 10-30min after i close it). Sometimes, if im using my computer without a game open, it will come up as something random has crashed: like generic host processes, svchost, and then it will blue screen. But it doesnt usually come up with these errors, it usually just blue screens. Occassionally when the computer is starting up, it comes up with MAIN BIOS CHECKSUM ERROR, then BACKUP BIOS CHECKSUM ERROR.

Here are my specs:

GA-P35-DS3P
Corsair 800mhz 2GB
Core 2 Duo 2.66
500GB HD
550W PSU
8800GTS 640mb

Running windows xp pro. Oh yea and it doesnt restart when im running Ubuntu.

Default Bios Checksum Error?

This could be a number of things!
First thing I would do, is if you have 2x1gb of RAM try one at a time and see if it still happens
Secondly try updating your Bios
And as a last resort replacing the Cmos battery may work!

Edit: What is the exact model of your RAM? It may be something as simple as having to increase the voltage of your RAM in the Bios

Default Bios Checksum Error?

I pulled out 1 stick of RAM, and the computer booted like normal, but it restarted, and when it tried to start up again, i got a -beep- from the computer. Its 1 beep, not sure if long or short, its about twice as long as the normal startup beep. I tried swapping the RAMs around, putting the both in, changing slots, but still nothing. I do not know where to go from here.

Edit: I know i did put up my ram voltage by 0.10V because my RAM says 1.9V. Its corsair 800mhz 5-5-5-12 1.9V here is link.
