I press the power button on my laptop, and all i get is a blank, black screen..

anybody know what's wrong?

little messy...

if nothing is showing on "power-on" sounds like it needs a bios-reflash to me.

if that doesnt work then something has gone down or somethings you have installed has sent it walking ;p

disconnect everything in the lappy (cd-rom/HD/floppy).
leave the processor and memory intact.

and then try to boot up to see if you get a screen showing.
