Ok i have an Asus N80VN, i checked and made sure that it has an internal bluetooth adapter. But the BT settings say (when i try making the BT visible):

Quote:
An error has occured while Windows was saving your settings. The Bluetooth device might be unplugged.

The following settings where not saved:

Discoverablity settings
Conection settings
Now I put in my USB BT adapter that I used and it still didnt work.

Any help?

Hi m8
believe the bluetooth is an optional extra on this laptop not as a "standard option"
any bluetooth adaptor u use should be used with the software provided
what are u trying to connect to?

Phone (Samsung Blackjack SGH-1607)

But usually the adapter is plug and play if you have the bluetooth drivers.

To be specific its the Kensington Bluetooth USB adapter (K33085), when i plug it in, windows looks for drivers and finds none. kinda makes sense, worked in XP.

Can you install the XP software and run in compatibility mode?

The latest software might be compatible with older hardware, works for my webcam. The latest suite detects the old camera and uses it, might be the same with this.
