    Hi guys,
First of all,I am sorry for all of the linguistic mistakes I made below– I am foreign so please be understanding. Thanks in advance.
It has been a while since I replaced my desktop so finally here I am well prepared to build/buy one. I know how to build a desktop on my own, however my knowledge of today's desktops' components is very poor and that is why I am writing to find out what is the best possible set up for the money I have got.
£700 that is the MAX I can pay for the new desktop. If you suggest buying a pc from somewhere, please indicate where. Is it still cheaper to build your own pc rather than buying it from i.e. ebay? I don’t know any good sites with components (yes, yes I used google) so If you could please paste in a few links with good components suppliers.
I am expecting to have at least 1TB on my HDD. I am using my pc only for gaming purposes and university stuff. That is why having a nice GPU would be lovely. So far I found few offers on ebay in which I am interested in:
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VIBOX-6-C-...#ht_8604wt_906
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VIBOX-DUAL...#ht_7832wt_906
Please have a brief look into these and tell me what do you think. Do you recon that I could get better pc for the same money if I build it on my own? Also if you want a propose even a better set up for £700 please do that and briefly explain why. I appreciate any comments on this thread. Thanks for your time.
    Regards

At 1st glance the two that you've selected don't look bad. Especially the 1st one. But the problem with that one, is the gpu as well as the RAM. It is low grade. The GPU is a good brand, but low specs. DDR3 is a thing of the past as far as GPUs go. I live in the U.S. so retailers are a bit different, but I will check and see if newegg can ship to "london"? I think they can. I will also look into building a decent rig for you. I will reply with these details in a bit.

so after checking it out. it doesn't seem like newgg ships out of the country. So I got back on ebay. And started cruising around. I did find this:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gaming-Deskt...ht_7982wt_1265

I know that the first price is a little higher than you'd like, but it is US dollars. And you can also customize it to be cheaper. But I also went back and looked at your first pick. And it is a fairly good buy. But you may want to think about upgrading the GPU in the near future. Overall I would recommend you check out what I proposed, but if you don't like it, then order that 1st one. And if it doesn't perform the way you'd like, sell the graphics card you got with it, and buy the newer DDR5 5450 ATI card. Sorry I couldn't be a lot of help.

Thanks, I have been looking foward to it. I know that HD5670 is trash so I have decided to replace it with my GTX450. Also in accordance with the scan.co.uk the same set up would cost me around £500 so I can get better quality for the same prize. Instead of yousing newegg try to go to scan.co.uk there should be everything you might be looking for.
I am waiting for your second post, again I am delighted with your replay because I have already thought that my post has been abandonded :)

PCI-Express Video cards : 256 Bit PCI-E 3D Graphics (up to 256 mb shared onboard-only if listed with board)
Really mate? Since when do we refer to GPU like this?:)
800$ is about £550 so its still below my budget and I could go for it.
Try just to ignore Ebay totally and focus on your own beloved build up to £700. GO to scan.co.uk to build your own. Looking foward to seeing the results;)

Oh just found this! Well actually I found another one, but I built this one out of it. Great buy. Trust me. It has the upgraded graphics as well as 8 gigs of ram.

So I just built an awesome computer for you on that site. If you can't view it via this link let me know. It is a super good build especially for the money. It even has an SSD in it. And there were a few things I could've saved money on, such as the case, but antec provides quality cases. As does everything else I placed in this order. No garbage. haha

Well the 1st part to answering that is, i like AMD. but secondly yes, i believe that it is a great processor for the price. I use it in my machine. It is a great processor for multi-tasking. The X6 of course is better, however it also cost more. Now you can get a Phenom II x2 555 BE processor, and it is possible that you will be able to "unlock" the 2 hidden cores, thus getting a x4 for pretty much half price. But I have used 2 of those in other builds for people. One time it unlocked to four cores, and the other stayed at a dual core, so I overclocked it. So one could venture to say that the phenom II x2 is the best bang for your buck. But it is also a gamble. You can't go wrong with the Phenom II X4 955 BE. Mine is OCed to 3.8ghz right now with stock cooler, and still running at 48c. Max load, 62c.

allright mate, I haven't checked whether the sockets fits each other, hopefully u did it. Wouldn't it be better to replace HD6850 with GTX450? I have heard that GTX450 flies everywhere nicely.

Sure go for it. Its all about preference. Wars have been raged over whether ati is better than nvidia or vise versa. Its all about whatever suits your needs. And yes. Everything I selected on that list matches up perfectly.
