Default Building a Gaming Rig

I've been using a computer that has given me grief and trouble throughout the passed 2 or 3 years. I can barely play Source games let-alone anything else that takes less graphical interface than it (I.e. WoW). So, I've recently saved up some cash after working countless hours of overtime at Amazon (Yes, I work at a factory called Amazon.com)

So here is a list of Computer parts I've recently ordered from Newegg. Except the Graphics Card, since they were out of stock.

Main Computer Components:
Montior: Samsung 22" Widescreen 2220WM
Montior #2: Samsung 19" Standard (Forgot model #, I baught it at Bestbuy)
Case: APEVIA Full ATX Tower X-PLEASURE (Black Allumnium)
Motherboard: ASUS Striker Extreme nVidia 680i SLI LGA 775
Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB (Ordered 2 for SLI)
Processor: Intel Duo 2 Core Conroe E6850 3.0GHz 1333MHz FSB
Harddrive: Western Digital 1,000GB (1TB) 7200 RPM SATA
Power Supply: Thermaltake Toughpower 1000w (SLI Certified)
RAM: OCZ DDR2 1066MHz 2GBx2 PCR 8500 (4GB Total)
Soundcard: Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Professional Series
Operating System: Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit Edition

Other Accessories:
Keyboard: Razer Lycosa (Back Ordered, currently using Logitech Wireless Keyboard)
Mouse: Razer Copperhead 2000dpi
Headset: Razer Barracuda HP-1

I've done alot of research and had a good friend of mine help me as far as Manufacturer's and companies go. So, I wanted to know you're guys thoughts and maybe if one or more of these parts are incompatiable with eachother, please let me know. Thanks. -MarBug

Hi Marbug.

No incompatibility issues.

Best dual core cpu on the market.
Best SLI motherboard on the market.
Good hdd, personally I'd have preferred a Hitachi Ultrastar 1tb but its much of a muchness.
Card of choice at the moment.
Decent ram.
Why 64bit Vista though, it's not game friendly. It can make use of 3.5gb of ram though so you're not really wasting any getting 4 dimms.
Copperheads are awesome gaming mice.

Well spec'd.

Thanks, I was hoping I did some well thought-out research and I'm pretty happy with the results of computer parts that I decided to order.

I am not sure if I'll be installing Vista right away, I'll probably just storage the remaining 2GB of RAM for the moment until I really need it later on. So, I'll probably just stick with XP Pro for now.

This rig has costed me well over $3,000 so I am hoping it last me a good long while.

Well it will probably last, but will become outdated. The nvidia 9800 series is just around the corner.....

I'm not too worried about that. I'm currently using a 7600GS and I got it when the 8 series were first coming out and it still has survived this long, still a good graphics card for games. Just can't handle most of anything coming out now, which is why I am upgrading.

MarBug: where'd you order that Lycosa keyboard from? I can't find it in stock anywhere online, and I really want to get one. I pre-ordered at Amazon, but they estimate a January ship date. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
