8800GTs in the top slots with the sound card in the bottom PCI slot should work fine.

I would go for the Zotac 8800GT, it's out of the box 700mhz and is on sale now..

uh, no, it's got a custom fan and everything, that's how they can sell it out of the box like that. worst case scenario is you can take off 50mhz or so.

never mind. ok, here is re revised list

https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/P...shListTitle=my

any objections? I Also would like to know of a good north bridge cooler that isn't too big. cuz I'm guna reuse my Thermaltake Big Typhoon. and its BIG. will the thermaltake extreme sprint work? and is there another motherboard brand i should go with instead? maybe the name chipset but instead one that comes with an all copper heatsink?

edit- im no PSU expert, so if there is a better PSU for the price please let me know! I want to make sure i can power both the 8800GT's with ease.

Nothing wrong with the mobo although I'm an Asus man myself. However, I did build a PC once with an MSI board in it, and although some people told me it was a crap brand, my mobo performed like no other... (maybe those providing me the asdvise didn't know what they were talking about).

I'm not sure is you will find a motherboard with a copper heatsink on the northbridge though. Haven't come across any of them myself so I doubt they exist (then again, I could be wrong...).

As for the northbridge cooler, as I mentioned before, any cooler with a copper base plate and copper heatpipes will do. However, my advise would be to ditch the Big Typhoon and replace it with something like an Artctic Freezer Pro. It's an awesome CPU cooler for it's price and because the fan is mounted sideways, you can point it towards your northbridge cooler in order for it to help blow of more heat. It's also a lot smaller than than your Big Typhoon so it should help improve airflow inside your case as well.

If you decide to stick with the Typhoon anyway, I don't see why there should be a problem positioning a northbridge cooler next to it. From the pictures I have seen, the Typhoon is about the same size as my Zalman CNPS9700 and I had an abundance of space left to mount my northbridge cooler right next to it.

However, as I said, if I were you, I'd got with the Arctic Freezer.

Cheers:
Chris.
