Hi people. I'm new to buying a PC and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a nice budget PC. I'm looking to buy something that won't cost me more than 800 dollars to buy since that is my limit. I was also wondering if there is anything out there that could at least meet the mininal requirements' for most games out today?

| Couple of issue's here. Firstly, game's developers put the minimum requirements of a game at what it will take to basically load the game and get a few fps with minimal detail settings. This is to (artifically) enlarge the potential market for the game. Regarding the purchase of a pc, could you list some of the site's you've been looking at? We're in the UK, and prices don't compare over here for components (they're much higher). Unless some of our U.S based members can assist you further on that point....?

Well if you are usa based I would suggest samsclub.com They have some really awesome computers for around $800. Acer has a decent one at bestbuy.com (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....prd76400050008) for around $800, But without any specs on your end this is just a "good deal" link. Hope this helps.

Ah, sorry for not being very specific. I am in the United States. I've looked here http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1179877252949 And also here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...24500+-+%24750 I am hoping to find something that I could at least have a little fun, game wise on. I know I won't be able to do much with my limited price range. Thanks for the replies so far.

Ive been looking at newegg computers and they have clearance deals all the time. I would wait until they had a computer that fit your liking went on sale. Also Tigerdirect is pretty good although some people have gotten gipped a bit in the past years.

If you build a pc it will cost alot less and you get all the parts you want and you should be able to squeeze in a nice intel core2 duo and directx 10 graphics card. if you do buy/build a pc try to stick to intel, asus and nvidia (not that i have anything agains the other companies). building a pc takes a wile well for me cause i look at all the reviews about the motherboad cpu and ram to get the best for my dollor. it takes alot of research but its worth it.

The 'minimum' requirements all depends on the game. I mean our home computer is over 3yrs old, it has just 1GB of RAM, a 128MB graphics card, the processor is an AMD Athlon 4000+, so by todays standards its very slow, yet we can still ruin C&C3 on medium settings perfectly well. Although it really struggles when the nuclear bomb goes off, doesnt like that at all!
