From a quick look, yes it looks like it's all compatable, and as for the OS installation, it's fairly simple, once you've consructed your rig, just put the OS CD in the drive at book up, and the instalation should start on it own, choose that you want to format and install (you could use the quick format, but I recomend against it) and follow the instructions through.

Don't buy that processor, get a E8400.
Don't buy that RAM, that's massively overpriced.
Don't buy that CPU cooler, get a Arctic Freezer 7.
Never heard of PSU manufacturer, specs look OK but I'd go with a reputable brand (Corsair is good)
You don't have a graphics card

Sorry, maybe I should have paid more attention to the actual products, rarther than just if they are compatable, but I agree with carbon, on the processor, but the RAM can be got alot cheaper from Dabs (at about £90) which isn't that bad for that speed, however i'm not sure it comes with the fan, but you don't need a fan for RAM if you have good air circulation in your case, unless you are going to try to masivly overclock it. I agree about the CPU cooler, and also about the PSU.

@carbon: He does have a gfx card there, it's the fourth in the list (it's a 9600GT)

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...ompliant%20PSU

And i assume you want that specific cpu fan for the leds aswell as cooling am i correct?

Don't get XP 64 bit.

If you think Vista 64s a bitch to install and get drivers for, XP 64 is 10 times worse.

TBH, Vista 64 is not that bad getting drivers for now, and is what I would recommend, especially if you might go with 4 gig of RAM in the future.

Other, just get 32 bit Vista or XP.

I built a system for a friend a few weeks ago and he was adamant he didn't want Vista or 64 bit. I persuaded him to go with 64 bit Vista as he was having 4 gig of RAM and he has never looked back.

Still, JMHO.

That cooler is crap, I bought one before and it only lowered my temps by 1c less than the stock cooler under load"wow"

And for the Graphics Card I would change that to the 4850 or maybe even if your budget stretches that far get the 4870

As for the PSU it is a know brand its just not the best, it a great budget PSU and with it pushing out 70A on the 12v rails its quite powerful too

That system looks better.

The memory is expensive, but its your money. If you want to save a few quid this
or this

Do you really need that sound card? It will produce good sound but only if you have a decent set of speakers to output it to. The onboard sound would probably be good for most things.

Also, I think the 4850 is a better buy at the moment than the 9600.
