Default Which Computer?

My sister is looking for a new computer and so, thought I'd ask the gurus within TCF.co.uk for advice.

She's looking for a cheapish computer that she can use for internet, MS Office, music, pics and also for transferring and editing movies captured on her digital camcorder.

She's prefer a laptop as she travels a lot but she is flexible with this if there is a good bargain for a desktop.

Her maximum budget is £600 but I reckon she can get a suitable system for cheaper.

Anybody suggest any machines / laptops?

Or this Only 1gb ram but with Vista basic it makes no odds (none of the resource-stealing eye-candy of Vista premium).

Maybe this

Or this. Choose the middle one, add a tenner for the 160gb hdd, total £408.99.

Don't be put off by the Pentium cpu quoted in a couple of these laptops, it's the same architecture as a core 2.

Not sure a C2D is necessary in this circumstance - hell, even a budget with a Celeron could do most of this. Editing video might be a little difficult but I can edit video fine (if a bit slowly) on my Celeron M. The C2Ds also tend to be pretty heavy.
