Default Computer fails to boot

Help please, my computer will not boot up anymore. About a week ago my computer started shutting off at random times, no shut down, no freezes, it would just power off. Almost as if i had unplugged it or held the power button. The problem kept persisting throughout the day until it finally just stopped booting. When i boot the computer up it tells me there is an issue with my boot sequence and to insert my OS disk, follow the onscreen instructions and hit the repair button. I tried this but my computer shuts off again half way through the loading of settings off of the OS disk. I don't understand if it is a hardware or software issue. Is it a virus? if so how do i work around it to get the computer to fully boot. If it is a hardware issue i could use a hint as to which piece i should be looking at. I have gone through and triple checked all my wiring that all seems to be in place. Everything is recieving power from what i can tell. I can't enter the bios options because after a short time the computer shuts off again. I haven't really timed the shut downs, but i would say my computer runs for ~35 sec before shutting off. Again please help, and thank you in advance.

It could be an overheating issue.

Take the side panels off the case and clean the CPU Fan and Heatsink thoroughly and see if things improve.

I have taken the whole thing apart cleaned it all off and including the CPU fan and heatsink, the case itself has 4 additional fans which i have cleaned thuroughly as well. Should i remove the old heatsink and reapply some new paste?

It certainly cant hurt .... the fact that it is shutting down b4 you can enter bios, suggests it's not an OS issue.
