Default Computer Freezing/Shutting Down after 5 minutes of gaming.

So recently my computer has been acting up, whenever I play a game with better graphics that Runescape it either hard freezes or shuts down. First here are my specs:

Motherboard: Microstar 7508
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6000
RAM: 2gb
Video Card: NVidia GeForce 9500 GT
PSU: Cooler Master RP-500-PCAR 500W

I have no idea what is wrong with my computer at the moments but some key points are that after a freeze/shutdown my CPU temp is above 60. I'm not sure if this is a problem. Does having your computer case open effect the temperature at all? I usually have mine open to just check on the temp of my PSU and CPU. My PSU's fan is kinda of wonky, it will work sometimes and other times it won't, I am planning on buying a new one anyways.

So if anyone could please help me I would really like to play atleast one mission of COD4 or a match of TF2 without my computer freezing/shutting down. Thanks!!!

Here are a few pics from CPU-Z and SensorView.

Hope this could help in anyway.

From what you describe, it does sound like an overheating issue.

Try giving the heatsink & fan a thorough clean and get the "iffy" fan swapped.
