Well i do have Ubuntu CD and it was working fine, i tried it some times ago.

ok try again and open as many apps as you can (it may take a wile to load as its coming from a cd) and try stress the system, if it works fine again id suggest its your harddrive

No Temp problem, the last time system hanged, the temperature was 41C.

ok i reckon its the harddrive but if you want to make doubly sure install ubuntu on the harddrive and see if it crashes when accessing it from the hdd

Well my friend is coming via HDD.
I'll check it, by the way cew27, how could it be the problem of HDD?

Although the computer is working fine when i am not connecting to the internet.
