Default Computer keeps dying, no error messages

Hello all

Apologies if this is in the wrong section, I couldn't find anything suitable.

My computer keeps dying on me. No warnings or error messages, it just suddenly turns off as if i had turned it off at the mains.

I try to turn it on again, the light on the front blinks once and nothing more happens.

Leaving it for x amount of time works, but then after a time it turns off again.

Checked the power leads and they're all fine.

Only thing I can think of it's maybe it's overheating.

Any other ideas?

Many thanks

Does it make any beeping sounds on boot?

Are there any other strange sounds coming from your pc? Whizzing sounds or maybe clicking sounds?

Have you installed or updated any programes or drivers lately?

Has there been any significant hardware changes?

How long have you had it?

Most importantly, have you cleaned your fans?

If not, then it may be malware.

Go to the Virus, Spyware & Security Forum

Do everything in the first post in this post.

Then start a new thread in that forum and post the Hijack This log you created.

Someone will look over it and suggest a course of action.
