Hello,

I am a new member and have been having a problem with one of my computer.

The computer had problem with hard disk and it had become slow. So I decided to put a new hard disk and increase the ram to 1 GB. So the technician fixed the new hard disk and the ram and for a day the computer kept on restarting. Thus had to call the technician the next day and he removed the new ram which he had put and said the ram is fault, and thus after few minutes the computer shut down and just could not start. Well he told me the motherboard had crashed. So thus I had to buy a new motherboard, bigger processor, new ram, new power supply and while he installing the Windows XP software it was not reading from his cd and so he juggled with the 1 GB Ram and after 2 or 3 trials he managed to install the windows XP. While he was installing the Symantec and Microsoft office 2007 the computer kept on restarting. Till today not yet sorted. I went to one of the local company to check the faulty mother board and the ram which he claimed was faulty but found that ram is in order. Please can anybody let me know how to sort out this problem.

Many thanks
