| So I just put together this computer from a collections of parts that I had from a previous machine. Really its the exact same computer except for a new case, power supply (which is 500 W, same as the previous) and a DVD burner. The problem I am having is when I turn it on, it tells me the Graphics Card, and Processor, and right before it should start the RAM count, it just stalls. I cannot Cntrl Alt Del to restart, or get into the BIOS. It just sits there. I tried swapping RAM out since it is dual channel to see if one was faulty but they dont make a difference. Through a series of unplugging the HD and DVD Burner, and taking out the battery on the Motherboard to reset the BIOS I was eventually able to get it to get passed the RAM check and to check the IDEs. At that point I was able to plug my HD and Burner back in, and get into the BIOS. From there I set the boot devices and was able to get Windows to boot up and all was well. But after a reset or two, it just goes back to the original problem (stalling before the RAM count). I was able to repeat the said steps a few times to get into Windows, but now I am at the point where they do nothing and Im stuck in one spot. This makes no sense since the only parts that have changed are the Case, Power Supply, and DVD drive, which shouldnt be problematic. And I never had this issue before I rebuilt it.
