Hi all,

I have a new motherboard recently installed. It was working fine, then one morning when i turned my computer on, there was a big bang. I found't that this was the PSU.

I then tried a different PSU and tried to boot, but there was no display on the monitor.
So i thought that the motherboard had gone. So i sent that back and the shop tested it, and it was found't not to be faulty and was in good working order.
So at the moment i'm waiting for the motherboard so i can try it again.

But, I have another motherboard, so i tried that and the same thing, no display on the monitor. The computer powers up fine, fans going ect....
I've tried booting with one ram in, still nothing. I've tried a different CPU, still no display.
I just don't know what it can be.

Can any one help.

Much appreciated for any help.

Regards Jase

Did you have a graphics card installed? if so unfortunately the PSU could have taken that out with it aswell

You seem to have tried most routes, so it may be that it took out the monitor, try a different one if you can!

Maybe it burnt out the BIOS chip and then destroyed your hard drive. I guess that would explain everything powering up, but nothing on the screen working.

Not sure really...
