Default computer problems

hello, i just signed on here, so hi!

anyway, i have a problem with my pc, everytime i start up my computer, is goes funy, the screen does not turn on and cannot get in to anything to start it up.

i have checked all the cables, reset the bios, and everything, yet still nothing, the only thing i have done is when i built the system, i changed one of the jumper free settings, and set my cpu to a boost, of 10%, just to get a bit more speed out of it

my system is

AMD athlon 64 X2, dual core, 2.2
asus an8 sli se motherboard
2.5 gig of ram
gefore 7300gt graphics card.

if u need to know about anything else just give me a buzz.

A bit more info needed .....

Has the new build ever worked ?
Did you get as far as installing an OS ?
Have you put the jumper back ?

You seem to have a display, as you mention entering bios, or did you clear it on the mobo ? .... tell us some more and we can be more helpful

right, i have had the compter running for around a year and a half now, i installed vista a year or so ago, when it came out, and the jumper is back where it belongs, and everything was how it was when it was built. not thing has changed since i built it. i think it may be either my monitor or graphics card, but with me not having access to another system with the same processor or graphics i have not been able to find out whats wrong.

OK, so just to be clear ... you are getting No display at all at boot up, not even bios posts ?
Any beeps at all when trying to boot ?
What is happening when you try to boot .... i.e. any signs of life, can you hear the HDD spin up ? ... do the drive lights show, fans etc.?
