Default computer problems

hello, i was wondering if any of you out there could help me with a problem. the thing is a couple of days ago we had a thunderstorm and i had my computer plugged up. when i went to unplug it the lights went out. i went to turn it back on and it did but now when i do it turns on and then goes through as if it's going to start but and right before it does it shuts off. is there any advice as to how i can fix it or what i need to do go get it fixed? thank you

Could be a damaged psu?

Sounds like your PSU's fried. Could be motherboard as well.

I'd switch out the PSU. If that doesn't work..well, any surge that's gonna mess up anything more than the PSU is probably going to mess up the whole system.

it should run of of batter itf it was only the psu, if it didnt then there has been some damage inside the pc, my guess is its not worth fixing it as it will cost alot (thats only if it is the mobo)
