Hi wonder if any one can give me some adcive. Twice this morning my computer has shut itself down while I have been using it. The screen clears, but then comes back on asking if I want to open windows in safe mode or star normally, so it isnt as if I just lose what is on the screen it completely shuts down and then starts again on its own. Any ideas please for a helpless woman

Clean your fans inside, sounds like it could be overheating.

download a fan and temp program to check what temps your system is running at, this could help in problem finding the problem. Try Speed fan google it my friend :)

I think the problem is might be on mother board Leaking capacitors or RAM problem you might need to call any hardware professional and if don't want to do so try formatting your computer this might solve your problem.

I certainly doubt both of those possibilities over PSU or overheat...also this thread is a month and a half old.
