Default Computer turns itself off

Why does my computer turn itself off while playing certain games? mainly C&C3 and F.E.A.R. I have a Saphire radeon X1950 pro ultimate silent, 6000+amd athlon processor, 2gb dual channel corsair ram at 800 mhz and 460W power supply. If you need any more information i can give it.

I'm not sure, whats the best way to find out? I am a bit suspicious about all the programs on the internet so dont like to download any of them, unless recommended.
