Ok i want to upgrade my pc, i have a budget of about £300-400, i want to make it more gaming compatible, my specs now:

Cpu: AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3800+ Model 15, Stepping 2, Running At 2.4ghz
Ram: Elixir 1GB PC2-6400(I Think)
Mobo: Asrock ALiveSATA2-GLAN
Hdd: Samsung (SATA2) 250GB
Gpu: Palit Geforce 7600gt 256mb
Psu: 500w(I Think)

I was thinking over completly remodeling it, and put maybe a intel quad core, which i would then obviously need to get a new motherboard in there, and 2Gb of Ocz Goldplated ram, and then a ocz 700w psu, what do you people think?, any better ideas?

I might even try the amd quad, anyone with any ideas?

The Intel Quad is faster. I would also look at upgrading your graphics card to an 8800 one perhaps?

I think that you are basically just going to be replacing everything apart from the case!

What sort of price range do you have in mind for the updates?

300-400 pounds, maybe more it depends, yehh lol, pretty much replacing everything
