It will be fine for office duties as it is, a little more RAM would help boot times, 1GB is really a min these days and anything over 2GB is probably overkill, just add a hard drive if you need the space.

For gaming it will need 2GB a good GFX card and a dual core CPU wouldn't hurt to run anything new. But then you are looking at a major upgrade, motherboard, PSU the lot.

As I said 2Gb is going to make no difference to gaming, games need good GFX cards and a good CPU.

Judging by the state of the hard drive I'd say this is a pentium 4 on a 478 socket, just like mine, so to get a decent CPU you're either looking at the 3.2/3.4GHz Pentium 4 with Hyper-Threading or just getting a complete new motherboard and power supply to make it all go, my advice would be buy a cheap system running some form of dual core processor and DDR2 RAM. Upgrade that since DDR2 RAM is much less expensive than DDR and you could probably spend about the same amount of money on a new cheap system and upgrading that as you would buying older DDR RAM and an AGP graphics card.
