Hey everyone,

So right now I'm going a little crazy: I just bought all the parts for a new computer off newegg. Guess I better list em:
Sapphire Radeon 4850 x2 2GB Video Card
Intel Core 2 Duo 3.0 Ghz
Western Digital 6400AAKS 640GB Hard drive
Gigabyte EP45-UD3R Motherboard
Antec EA650 650 W Power Supply
2x2gb OCZ 1066 Ram
Antec 900 Case
An old ide dvd drive i had lying around... a samsung i think.

Spent a while getting everything in... and this is what happened when i turned it on.
The mother board has a 6 led check system, all of which turned on.
All the fans on the case lit up and ran.
The fan on the cpu gave a little flicker at first startup and then immediately stopped. Right when I turned off the power the cpu fan spun up and then slowed till it stopped
The Video Card showed a single green led, but neither of the fans ran.
The Dvd drive refused to open
As far as i could tell the hard drive hadn't spun up, but to be honest i didn't listen very closlely, so it may have just been pretty quiet.
Nothing came out of the video card, obviously.

So then I went and got an old 8400 gs and put it into the pci-e slot. When i turned it on, the same thing happened with everything, but the fan on the video card worked...

Thats the situation. Im at a complete loss. I only have one other computer that i could try any of these parts in, but its my moms, and im pretty sure she doesn't want me rooting around in her computer... plus its a dell, and it couldn't power the video card. ANY help anyone can offer would be extremely appreciated here... I hate this thing just being a piece of pretty furniture.

Thanks all...

I feel i missed a point on the dvd drive... It had no power even though it was plugged in, besides the fact it wouldn't open.

Make sure your HSF is on all the way.
