Default Custom Building in Seattle?

I am new to custom building computers, usually sticking with Dell pre-built etc. I am trying to build the ultimate gaming machine, dual SLI, quad-core etc. but is there anyone who lives in Seattle who would not mind advising on what equipment works best etc. etc.?

Tech is tech wherever you live.

If you're definate in going quad then you're going to need a high mhz one, as in expensive. The Q9650 should fit your bill nicely.

Mhz still rule in gaming as games still only run on a maximum of 2 core's. Choice, now, would be the E6850.

You can go with Intel's current crop of Conroe, or hang about a few weeks for Penryn (faster fsb, will be better oc'ers, more energy efficient and cooler running).

For gpu's, again, I'd hang about. Nvidia's 9800 should be released in the next month (hopefully).

In Spokane here. You're lucky, you've got a Fry's out there in Renton. They have comparable prices to NewEgg and you can grab replacement stuff without waiting for shipping. If you don't care to wait for shipping, drive out on 405, admire the fact that they have a really terrible store theme compared to most Fry's, grab a cup of coffee, and pick up your parts.
