| I have a older Dell c400 laptop. When I try to start it up I get a unmountable boot volume. From what I found out I need to repair the windows boot.ini file but do not have a restore disc. So insted I tried to install a linux Ubuntu. Since it does not have a onboard cd rom it wont boot off the disc. Thanks for any help. Adam |

| I forgot To say is there any way to get it to load ubuntu or windows. It almost Goes to a list of ways to load windows befor the cd rom has time to load the cd. i tried to go in through the bios and it gave me a option to move the cd drive to the top of the list but that did not even work. Thanks for any help you can give. |
