Ok it seems that I am always having some sort of problems with this thing. It has lost my cd drive before and I had to go and delete a file to get it to recognize the drive again.
Now the computer will not fully recognize a media card reader that is built in. Let me explaini

Its for commonly reading camera media. It has worked great in the past but now only partly. Once I put it into the slot, it will transfer all files to a certain destination just fine.

However, if I use windows explorer and try to look at the files on the disk then the computer says "Application not found". The SD logo use to appear on the drive but not now, its more like a flash drive. Anyone have a solution???????????????

I have a Dell Inspiron 6400.. with Vista basic

Scan your computer updated anti virus in the safe mode and check the hardware is installed or plugged in properly.

Try it .... that way if it has become corrupted, it should resolve the issue.
No guarantees, but it cant do any harm.

No
thats when it gives me the error. However when I first put the media in a screen pops up asking if I want to transfer photos to hard drive. It will do it that way but I can't explore it through windows explorer. It did work about a month ago but now it won't. It won't even recognize that its SD media anymore.
