Hi All,
I have got a Dell Optiplex GX260 desk top and want to rig it up to my television, which has got a pc socket.
Firstly i need to know, can i get a wireless adaptor for it to link up with my Sky Broadband, Sky have told me i would have to use thiers only, as others are not compatible, am a bit suspicious that they just want the custom.
Secondly, will this Dell system be compatible to use a wireless Keyboard and mouse.
Thirdly, what kind of cable would i need to connect television.
Thanks in advance.

To connect to the television you'll need a DVI-D cable to usually DVI but if the TV has an HDMI socket that might be a better option.

Wireless keyboard and mouse is easy, just buy either a bluetooth wireless kit or a non-bluetooth thing with a black box that does the same thing (what a wonderful description xD)

As for the Sky question I don't really know, but it is possible others are not compatible as Microsoft pull the same trick with wireless adapter on the Xbox 360, you need theirs.

Any cable modem can be hooked to a wireless router. You'll need a wireless card (not that expensive) in the computer to receive the signal.

Wireless keyboards and mice use USB receivers so all you need is the keyboard itself which will have a small connector that plugs into a USB port. No card needed.

The TV thing depends on what kind of socket you mean. If you tell us what kind of TV it is, that would help. Is the monitor you use now a flat-screen LCD, or alternatively, is the connector it plugs into the computer with a VGA one or DVI?
