| I got a Dell Dimension 2400 series computer. I was wanting to upgrade the memory on it but dont know how much it will hold. Dells website doesnt have a specifications chart for that model since they put several different parts in those systems. Can I put 2 1GiB sticks in it or do you think thats too much? |

| Try this - http://www.thecomputerforums.co.uk/v....php?p=455#455 Download it and go to the memory bit, tells you your current RAM and how many slots you have for upgrade. Dave

| P.s, I think 2gb will be fine just make sure you remove whats in there already and get two matched 1gb sticks to replace them. Use cpu-z to find what speed/type you have already and replace with identical larger size sticks.

| Find out what type of ram it is before you buy. DDR ram wont work in 133Mhz Ram slots. Its Likley that their is at least two ram slots it would be even better if their dual channel slots. |

| I got the Dell 5150, works great. I'm sure the 2400 has a lot of the same features. |

| I would use CPU-Z to find out how much your PC can take. When I updated the RAM in my dell I used http://www.crucial.com. It has a great tool in which you tell them what exact model of PC you have and it will show you the memory that will absolutely work on it. |
