yes my brother has one, they arent more practical they are infact the opposite
not only do they cost waaaaaay to much they also dictate what hardware you can and cant run
linux runs most with open source drivers

They don't cost wawaaaaaayy too much though, Once you bought your Windows PC, If you wanted as much software as the Mac came with it would cost you quite a substantial amount of money. My Mac came with iMovie... You Got Movie Maker :) I got iPhoto, you got Windows Gallery :P

i payed 450 for a laptop with the same specs as your 800 pound macbook
they are ridiculously overpriced and i hate mac because of that fact they run an even worse dictatorship than gates and he is one hell of a dictator

My Mac cost £700 and was well worth it. I'm sure my Mac will outlast your computer, When you're spending another £450 on a new laptop, I'll still be happy with the one i've got.

Lets not get into a Windows / Mac debate. Nothing good will come out of it.

Macs are excellent if you can afford the premium. The build quality and finish are very good.

But you can get similar specs for cheaper with a Windows laptop. Each to his own.

*Yawn*
Why isnt this thread locked?
OP started with misleading(to be polite) post.
Spot actually read the article and pointed out the truth.
Then the flames began.
The Mac Vs PC argument has to be one of the most boring arguments around.
