Default Did I fry my Mobo?

Alright, so I took my computer apart for a routine cleaning, (fans get filled with dust, etc) and I attempted to fix my media reader which stopped working for some reason. Anyway, I put it all back together, turned the computer on, and even engaged in some Team Fortress 2 Action. Then I got booted, I thought maybe my friend signed on the same account. Then.... blue screen of death. Thats definitely not right!

I tried turning my computer on again afterwords, booted up for a bit, then black. Tried again, and nothing came up on the screen at all!
I remember putting the fan back on, and there not being much in terms of thermal paste. Did I short the damn thing? How could it have happened so quickly? Also, the signifier light for my ethernet cable should be lighting up no matter what. But it's not, which is what leads me to believe I fried either my processor, mobo, or both.

I tried turning it on again, and it just makes a continuous beeping sound, nothin on the screen.

If anyone could help I would be eternally grateful, seeing as I need that computer to catch up on work, and Im days behind!

If anybody needs more info, let me know. I'd be glad to do the best I can.

Give details of your hardware setup.
You mention thermal paste, perhaps the PC is overheating?
I would first concentrate on the CPU side of things, check the heatsink is mounted correctly and making proper contact. Also check you didnt accidentally disconnect any cables.
