I was doing some regular firefox browsing, then all of a sudden, my computer froze and i had to restart it.
I restarted it and noticed i got no VGA output. I attempted to power down the pc by holding the power button, and that didnt work.. like my pc didnt even know i was holding it in so i cut the switch in the back. waited 15 secs. then cut back on. No beep, no vga output, no nothing. i did this around 20 times and now i'm finally back on my computer. Can anyone give me a clue as to what was going on here? |

Sounds like your power supply is on the way out imo.

Just out of curiosity why would it be the power supply?

Because the component that converts power to be used by every single other computer in the PC also powers the graphics adapter?

Yep, a dodgy psu will cause a PC to not power on, or to work 1 in 20 times. They will also cause freezing issues. All the symptoms suggest a dodgy psu imo.
