Default A Few Pounds Short Of My New Alienware!

Around £7,086.42 to be exact

This is what i ended up with once i customized the ALX CrossFireX originally costing £3,251... Is it me or is this wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy over rated, i mean i just got through matching the components piece by piece to its equivalent on newegg and came out little under £1000 to build it yourself.
Ive been keeping my eyes out for a second hand or new alienware case as I'm absolutely in love with the design but thats all ill be buying that is made by alienware.
Opinions on the prices of this machine are welcomed. I personaly would rather live without then fork out for this thing.

well I like a good case, but paying £6000 for a case is way over the top, I would just build it yourself and like you said look for a second hand case.

£6k is a very steep profit margin...

You'd have to be a few pounds short in the brain department to buy one.

£6k isn't the way to look at it as some companies will make more than that, on expensive cars for example. But if you think of it as 600% profit, then you know there is something wrong lol

Terrible time to buy a high-budget machine with Nehalem on the horizon. I imagine it's gonna be pretty expensive to buy one of those in November but damn if it isn't gonna be worth it.

It's Intel's forthcoming range of cpu's. 45nm, no fsb (so no need for stupidly large cache's anymore due to bandwidth bottlenecks). Hyperthreading also makes a return I believe.

You sure would.

Anyway if all you like is the case design why not just buy a cheap copy?
Like this.
Maybe there are better imitations I just found that in 2 minutes.

Nehalem, because apparently Intel's naming department decided the properties of a new architecture had similar attributes to a tribe of Native Americans.

(kidding, that's the code name)
