I've got the 245B. It's not a false economy being so cheap. Theres is some backlight bleed but being a TN panel it's not rare.

If it's gaming you're after you really want the GTX at the native resolution of this monitor. Maybe the Ultra. Using Crysis as the benchmark.

I'd also not be looking at the quad unlessy you're going to oc as mhz rule for gaming. Swap that out for an E6850 and you're golden. The cpu has more of an impact at higher resolutions and as you'll be gaming at 1920x1200 you will need a powerful cpu.

For the case, at that pricepoint, I'b be looking at the Antec 900. It will fit a GTX.

Yeah i will be OC'ing the Quad.

BTW would you say the Arctic would be suffiecient for Ocing a Quad.

I will be using gaming so will be playing at 1920x1200.

Im leaning towards the Ultra.

Okey doke, keep the quad if oc'ing. Yup, AC7 will be fine but you'll hear it when the cpu is oc'd. But if you want lower temps when oc'ing (even the AC7 can see temps of 65c oc dependent) have a look at the Swiftech H2O 120.

As you're gaming though (speakers banging out, and concentrating on not getting thy arse shot) it won't be intrusive.

If you're only going single card, forget the 680i, you'd be better with the P35 chipset or X38.

P35 replaces P965 which was a genuinely great oc'ing chipset. X38 replaces 975X. Which wasn't a bad oc'ing chipset.*

*Obviously motherboard dependent.

GTX or Ultra, choice is yours as it's your money but both will suffice at 1920x1200, and nicely.

I reckon ill go for the GTX and get a 1TB HD.

Yup, you can oc on the AC7.

If going for a 1tb hdd, go for the Hitachi Ultrastar.

I reckon P35 is better for oc'ing overall, but again it's mobo dependent. Asus P5K is nice.

Alex what do you reckon i could OC a 6600 on the AC7 Safely too?

I mean what Ghz max.

Alex the reason i was going for the 680 Sli is because i was thinking i decided to do Dual Cards in the future.

What do ya reckon is the best SLI compatible Mobo at this time.

Every cpu is different, even those of the same model. Some are great oc'ers, some are not so great.

Now I've got that disclaimer out of the way.....

I'd reckon 3.6ghz is the max you can take a quad to on air, even on the Tuniq. I'd reckon it would be ok on this using the AC7 also.

But again, it's ambients and airflow dependent as well as my first comments.

Fair enough on SLI, your money your choice. At the moment the daddy SLI board is the Striker Extreme, especially for oc'ing. But the SE-2 is due to be released very very shortly so you might want to wait.

Buying a Quad and a GTX? You have some mixed up priorities. :p
Get a good Duo (or even Extreme) and a 8800GT.

banjo7, i can get my q6600 to 3.2ghz on stock volts. My temps are about the same as if i was running 2.4ghz. Alex is right about what he said, so you'l need to take all those things into consideration too.
