Here's my 245 next to my 19" 931. For the money it's rather a good buy. Doesn't have a hdmi connection, only dvi. But as this is digital it's no biggy.

Backlight bleed is evident in darker scene's but you do have to go looking for it. Banding is also evident but only with the brightness turned way down.

I've not come across any ghosting yet.

You can wall mount it if you want, the stand only offers height adjustment. There's no tilt.

All in all, for the money, it's a superb buy in my eyes.

Any improvements over the build?

4gb ram is overkill, your os will see and use a max of 3.5gb (vista 64). I'd stick with 2gb. For the usage quoted you'll do fine.

You'll still be fine with the Infiniti should you go sli in the future as GTX's in SLI will draw around 250w from your psu. So you'll still have more than enough headroom.

Thanks dude.

Yeah i saw the Monitor and it was mad cheap for a 1920x1200 24' monitor.

Oh and good to see another Xbox owner.

I wont be wall mounting it as my current Monitor which is really a Hitachi 26' TV will be wall mounted.

Oh and Alex is that a G15? If it is can you give me your impressions of it as a Keyboard with the lit up keys would be perfect for me.

Sorry for all the Q's but when your spending about 1200 on a PC ya want to get it right.

No problem in regards to the questions. I completely agree: You do want to get it right.

Both myself and Carbon touched on mhz for gaming, but as you're oc'ing anyway, this is kind of a moot point considering the architecture is pretty much the same with the E6850 and Q6600. And reaching the stock E6850 speed of 3ghz, by oc'ing, on a quad isn't that difficult. I've done it on two builds for friends of mine.

It's not the G15, just an ergonomic MS keyboard. Speak to Cew27 though, he's just got a G.

And if you're on xbox live look for "TCFmod alex" I'm on there now and I'm lousy

Banjo7, why dont you get a Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme instead of the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro. you shouldnt have any problems fitting it in the A900.

That's an option Banjo. It does fit in an Antec 900. Just in my experience (Baxter) the AC7 cools better. The Ultra also weigh's rather a lot and is way past the stress limits for a mobo. Granted, most hsf's are but the AC7 isn't and considering Intel's mounting design for a HSF, it's not something I'd recommend. But I am a worrier.

Oh, and Banjo, get some Arctic Silver 5 T.I.M (Thermal Interface Material). Don't use the generic junk that comes with the cpu. It's only about a fiver.

I'd get a GT over the GTX. Cheaper, a lot less heat, easier to maneuver around in the case (single-slot!), and only a slight difference in benchmarks.

if you still haven't bought yet, I would go with one of the new 45nm quad cores, they should run cooler, therefore allow for greater OCing

@ Alex
what temps did you get with the AC7. Do you have the temps from a q6600 for comparison. I'm in the market for a better cooling setup but dont wanna get something worse.
heres a 3 hour test on prime95 using the large FFT's (max heat) @ 3.2ghz.
