I was going to suggest the same, except i recomend you place the mobo ontop of the antistatic bag it came in for safety. :)

Usually these sort of things are a PSU fault, but if you're using the Sonata III you should have a fairly decent PSU.
That's pretty much what I was coming round to thinking, except I thought I'd just basically re-build it bit by bit in case its a dodgy connection - then faf about with cables afterwards.

Yeah the PSU's just a 550W or something that came with case.

Thanks for help I'll try some stuff out and get back to you

Theres normally nothing wrong with the Earthwatts that comes with the Sonata. Decent PSU for the money.

Ok I've tried that now, still no luck. I've been in touch with Misco, they're great about it, actually I'd really reccommend them if you're looking to buy parts, it's well priced too.

They said they'll give me a full refund or they can just put the order straight back in so I get a replacement - with free P&P. So I'll get that sent off soon as.

It better work then - or I'm running out of options! I dont' think it could be the GFX card? Because the fan works on it..

Just a thought, it may have been suggested already, but........... have you tried a different cable from the card to the monitor? Mine is a bit quirky at times and I get the "dvi-d cannot process this signal" message. It drove me crazy until I figured out what was causing it, as it first happened after a crash. I wiggled the cable around and finally it came back on. Wouldn't hurt to check if you haven't already.

Glad the manufacturer is being good about it. I like EVGA for the same reason, their good customer support.
