Rite i seem to have this issue, i have visa ultimate and Xp pro sp2 installed on my comp runnin off 2 different hard drives. I use Vista for everyday use and XP for gaming, now when i load vista everything runs fine no issues at all (not even with drivers) but as soon as i load XP up there is a funny screaching noise comming from or near my Cpu, it gets louder if u load somthing or do anythin on the comp even movin the mouse can cause it to screach more..
I have updated my drivers, bios has been updated to and yet it still seems to make this horried noise.. I also re installed Xp bout week ago thinking this may fix it but still the same.
Any ideas or help would be gr8 as im worried im gunna frazzle sumit if i dont sort it soon..

It maybe just a squealing capacitor, which nothing really to worry about although it does seems strange that it only happens in XP
