Default gaming desktop build

Hello. I'm looking to get some help with another desktop I'm building. This time I'm making a more expensive desktop for a friend that want to have a good gaming desktop for around the price you will see. Here is the cart:

http://s190.photobucket.com/albums/z...rrent=comp.jpg

http://s190.photobucket.com/albums/z...rent=comp2.jpg

I need to make sure everything will screw in to one another, this thing will plug into there, and this and that. I don't want to order this and end up with incompatible hardware. Also if there is something in there that has a twin for a lower price, do tell, i would like to make it a but cheaper if possible. Overall i need to make sure when i order this there will be no disappointments.

Thanks very much for you help in the future. :)

It's all looking rather good.

Maybe stretch the budget a bit further and get bit faster processor.

This isnt really answering the question, but, Why did you choose that processor out of all the others? - Just curious...

Heres my viewpoint; (which is a little bit more conservative than the other peoples!).

You could find an alternative processor with much better performance for the same price as yours. This would mean you would have to get a different mobo but thats no problem really.

I think you might be paying a premium on the PSU because you trust the brand? I think you would be just as safe getting a mid class PSU which is 70% cheaper!
Has anyone ever bought those cheap "Dunhills" sweets from ASDA? They are made by Haribo, the same company who made the sweets which sell for 10 times the price under the "Haribo" label. - Im serious.

Do you really need that cutting edge graphic performance? (maybe you do, i dont know?!) In my view thats quite extreme! What games are you thinking of playing?

Hope this helps (its certainly a more conservative viewpoint)

You've quoted this as a gaming build but that card will not game comfortably at the native resolution of the monitor. You'll need either an oc'd 320mb 8800GTS or vanilla 640mb GTS/ 2900XT

taking that into account I'd also highly recommend a faster cpu. An E6420/E6600 would do nicely.

I think there is nothing wrong with the system but you because you are building gaming desktop I would suggest you to get faster processor. I think oc'd 320mb 8800GTS would be better.
