Can't say for sure if it's going to 'eat' Crysis as it's not out yet and you've not stated what resolution you'll be gaming at.

As you're not purchasing until nearer Christmas prices now are probably going to academic on most of the components.

It is, we're generally too lazy to say any word to it's completion. Too many siesta's will do that to you.:D

I dont have a link but I do remember reading that Crysis has options that even top of the range PCs wont be able to use.Seems it is being made (according to articles)to run on a 2-3 year old PC all the way up to taking advantage of tech that wont even exist in the mainstream market for a couple of years.
So people thinking about running it on max everything might have to think again,no matter what your system specs are.

I wouldn't be holding my breath for the 8950GX2.

Don't forget that the 7950GX2 was just two mobile 7900 gpu's slapped together to make a dual card in one.

There isn't even a desktop version 8900 card yet, let alone a mobile version. Rumours abound but until I see an official release date I'm going to keep breathing.

what a great game to test your rig on Crysis. but let me shine a few facts on the game.

there will be 2 types of Crysis there will be direcx9 and the directx10 version

directx 10 version was made first and now they have finished making the directx9 version For thos people who dont have the best graphic cards.

this should answer the question most people are asking will this play on my pc?

X850XT PE CARD will play this game but its a directx9 card so i will be missing out on what the directx10 version can do.

like for example the lighting is really impressive on the directx10 compared to the directx9 version.
