hi guys,

this is following up from my old messages about my old dell, one of the primary schools were i work gave me there pc that they were gonna scrap i plugged it in and all works fine but i want to update the BIOS and ive been on there website and i cant seem to find it, its a
ELONEX PROSENTIA

PS.if it helps,
specs p4 1.5ghz 256mb 40gb, ive swapped the hd with my one the WD 500gb

Why would you want to flash the BIOS?

What is the model number? I found the page (link below) but it calls for model number.

Err, yeah, but flashing the BIOS is done when you wish to fit a piece of hardware that is supported by a new version but not the current one.

It can and does render PCs dead, so you should only do it if it is 1000% essential.

In your case it seems it is not.

it doesnt matter didnt you listen to dave? mabye you need a second person to tell you if its working fine THEN DONT UPDATE THE BIOS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take it from me, your bios shall be fine as it is, ive not updated my bios on my dell in 4 years

Yea, like everyone is saying, don't update the BIOS unless you actually NEED to as if something goes wrong, such as a power loss, you have lost your motherboard and will need to get a new one.
