Grey lines across screen - Help!

I've had grey lines appear across my screen for some weeks now, at first I thought the pixelation on my monitor was on the way out, so as you do I purchased a new monitor - guess what, the lines are still there!
Can anyone help?

P.S. Anyone want to buy a 3 year old 19" flat screen seemingly in good working order?

Graphics drivers or graphics card.

What graphics card do you have?

Looked up the specs and -

NVIDIA TNT2 3D Graphics Card 32MB 4xAGP

When I said grey lines - perhaps I should have described the problem as a grey shadow emanating from all text on both sides, does that soud familiar?

Personally I'd download the updated drivers from the nvidia website.

If its not that I'd get hold of another VGA lead from the PC to the monitor and try that.

Failing that I'd replace the graphics card.
