well im new to computing and im trying to learn so i instaled a nother hard drive into my comp but it has me confused even with my limited knowlage i thought it would appear on the "my computer " window bit it don't all others do such as my ...

well im new to computing and im trying to learn so i instaled a nother hard drive into my comp but it has me confused even with my limited knowlage i thought it would appear on the "my computer " window bit it don't all others do such as my daughters i pod my cam but no new drive iv checked divice manager and its there it is set to slave so now im totaly confused can anyone point me in the right direction i would be so gratefull

Hi,

If you can see it in Device Manager and your bios then its plugged in correctly.

All it needs is a partition setup and a format.

Download this trial http://www.soft32.com/download_151.html

Make sure you partition your new drive and not the old one, don't want to really mess things up. :shock:
