| my computer wont let me add new hardware (the data is invalid) i have a dell 2400 open the device manager page and then the ports in that you get the com1 and on that there is a yellow explanation mark on it ( ! ) i have tried to update the driver to it but nothing and if i try conecting any usb's it says usb malfuntion |

| Looks like a driver problem. Try right clicking and removing the port then right clicking and searching for new hardware. When you said you had tried updating the drivers, do you mean by downloading them from dell's web site? http://support.euro.dell.com/support...&catid=&impid=
