Default Heat sink thermal grease

Hi, I'm just about to start building a new PC. I have bought a tube of AS5 so want to get rid of the thermal grease on the bottom of the heatsink. I've heard the rubbing alcohol is the best option but living in the UK, I dont have access to this. Is there a decent UK substitute? I was thinking maybe methylated spirit or white spirit but wasn't sure if either of those were too strong/potent...

Anyone with any ideas/advice that can share would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Thank you all for your quick response. I found out that Acetone is also used so I got myself a bottle of that. Going to commence the build tonight when I get in from work, I'll take some pics and be sure to upload them here for anyone who maybe interested :)

Wish me luck!!
