Default Help...All of a sudden.

All of a sudden my mouse stopped working. It is a USB mouse and every time I plug it in I get USB device not recognized. I thought that it was just time for a new mouse so I went out and bought one but the same thing keeps happenong. USB device not recognized. How can I get this mouse to work?

if you have ps2 ports buy a ps2 mouse, I would try uninstalling the usb ports and reinstalling them, see if that solves the problem

updated you hubs lately?

a vista update disabled all my usbs from working

i had to system restore

I think that it was an update that is giving me the problems so I tried to retore and I kept getting an error and it won't finish the restore.

What else can I do?

if you got to device manager and bring up your usb ports, im sure theres an option to roll back to previous driver

I have vista and went into the device manager and couldnt find a way to roll back the drivers. Can it be done? How?

I was able to get there but I can't click roll back driver (it must not be available)...I tried to update the driver and it said that the best driver was being used and was up to date. Any more suggestions?
