err, how many bit is the operating system going to be? if its going to be the usual 32-bit just forget any ram more than 4gb as its plain pointless as 32-bit operating systems can only utilise 3.2gb of ram - even if you have 8 or 6gb in total

hmm personally i hate windows vista... so slow, laggy and incompatible... personally i prefer windows xp pro with a few modifications here and there so the visuals look like windows 7 :) just note that you will only be able to use 6.4gb of ram even with your 8gb :)

I don't follow.. why would he be limited to 6.4 gb? If the mobo says 8Gb (And it's not a 750i..) and he goes 64 bit then there's a 128GB RAM limit imposed by MS. 64 bit doesn't mean at all that it's 32 bit plus 32 bit.. The theoretical limit for a 64 bit system is 16EB. And that's overkill by anyone's standards.
