Hey guys! I built a computer myself a year or two back, and I got a bunch of help from these forums! (You guys are always so friendly and informative, by the way )

I'm looking to upgrade a few things. Namely my video card and processor. Here's what I'm running:

Motherboard: An Asus P5K.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66GHz

Ram: CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800

Mostly I'm using this computer for gaming. I play a lot of World of Warcraft, and I've pretty much got that running beyond full specs, but I've been playing a lot of Fallout 3, Borderlands, Oblivion, etc, and I've noticed a bit of a frame rate issue. A couple of games have some minor graphical issues as well when I change particular settings. But I know I've fallen quite a bit behind on my system upgrades.

So that said, I basically just want to upgrade a bit, and you guys always have great suggestions. I'd love to see what you guys think I should go for next. Thank you so much, you're all always so helpful.

If your problem is in gaming upgrading neither of those will help you. What is your video card?

Wow, I feel really stupid... My graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS. I totally meant to post that. I was pretty tired last night when I did my original post, I apologize. It's a PCI xPress slot.

That's definitely your problem - that card was pretty mediocre as a midrange card even then, which is why a lot of people bit the bullet and bought the 8800GTS 320 (for like $200 more :( ). Pop in a new video card and the difference should be pretty crazy.
